Indian Paintbrush drink with vodka, grapefruit, lime and rosemary is delicious! I ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich with a side of greens. I asked for pear vinegarette with my salad and that was a good choice. I recommend sitting out in the shaded patio on the side. Supposedly on Saturdays, you can sit outside and hear the band next door play outside.
I'd say this is a solid place for lunch. We looked at the dinner menu too and some items like the smoked mushroom fettuccini, clams etc definitely sound delicious. -

DO IT! Eat here! It is phenomenal!!
Came here for my birthday on a Wednesday around 6 pm. There was us and one other couple. But about an hour in the place was packed! So better to get there early.
Drinks- oh lawd have mercy. The Beekeeper and The West 8th were amazing! Handcrafted cocktails. The beekeeper was gin, honey, ginger and lavender bitters. That was my favorite but the west 8th came pretty close. I don't remember what all was in it but it was vodka, lemon, cucumber and mint I think. So good!
Food- OH.MY.GOD the food! I ordered the fried chicken with Mac and cheese and coleslaw. Incredible. The portion is great and the Mac and cheese was out of this world. Coleslaw was great as well! Other diners in my party ordered the half chicken and jambalaya. The prawns on the jambalaya were huge and so tasty! You got 6! They are not skimpy here with portions! Both of those dishes were fantastic.
Service was good. It got a little busy and it slipped off but not enough to complain. That's what good company is for.
I have NOTHING negative to say about this place. -

Loved this place. I felt like a local here. I liked that it was close to downtown but away from the craziness. It's in a good area to walk around. The food is perfect. I really liked the veggies. The fried chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned. Service was friendly. There's plenty of seating and the atmosphere is casual.

I never complain about places to eat, my motto is if you don't like it just don't go back. it takes a lot for me to get angry or even speak up. I won't rant on, but my friends, family and I will never be back and we will not recommend to others. Food was good, except the egg white on my friends dish was liquid and not cooked, looked like they cooked sunny side up and flipped it. She couldn't eat it( did not order a sunny side up egg either)but that that point we were so over the whole place. Her egg was under done and our poached eggs on our Benedict's were way overdone. service was HORRIBLE!

I love Casper Fry! The space, beers on tap, drinks, and menu....all superb. The beignets are to die for! We've had the Low Country Shrimp, Gumbo, and Altamont Burger....excellent! Brunch here is amazing too. Try dining on the patio in the summer and enjoy the South Perry neighborhood.
